I was inspired to become a therapist by challenges in my own life...
I have known sadness, grief, fear, and the difficulties of coping with a loved one struggling with mental illness. I have delighted in feelings of joy, contentment and well-being.
My goal is to help others who are struggling with their own challenges that life presents. And to celebrate with them their healing, successes and well-being.

In addition to having my private practice since 2004, I have worked in a variety of settings. These include: a group home for pregnant and parenting teens; a community college mental health clinic; a hospital; an adult day health care; and with adult and child survivors of domestic violence. Thanks to this wide range of work experience, I have unique insight into the issues that impact people of varying ages, genders, and sexual orientations and lifestyles.
