Fees
I charge $175 for each 50-minute session. Payment is expected at the beginning of each therapy session and I accept credit cards and Venmo. Sliding scale is available on a limited basis; please contact me to discuss this option further.
I am an in-network provider for Aetna. If you have a PPO or POS plan with another insurance carrier, you may be able to get partial reimbursement for the session fees that you pay me. I can provide you with a detailed superbill that you can submit to them if this is the case. Please contact your health insurance company to verify your benefits.
Good Faith Estimate
Once we have discussed beginning to work together and agreed on the fee, I will send you a “Good Faith Estimate” as required by the No Surprises Act which was passed by Congress in 2021, which attempts to take the surprises out of healthcare billing. While it is not possible for a therapist to know in advance how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you. The estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider(s) listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you that are not identified.
Cancellation Policy
I consider therapy to be a very serious commitment, both on my part and on yours. I attempt to offer you the same appointment time each week and reserve the session time specifically for you. As I do not accept walk-ins, if an appointment goes unattended, I am unable to fill that appointment slot with a client in my waiting room. Please be courteous and notify me as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
If a cancellation is received less than 24 hours before the appointment time, or if you fail to show for an appointment, you will be charged the full fee for the length of time that was reserved.
If we are able to reschedule your appointment to another time during the same week, this late-cancellation fee will be waived.
If I am ill or have an emergency that arises, I will inform you that I will have to cancel as soon as I am able. I try to inform my clients of my vacation or conference schedule at least a week in advance.
